Now that winter seems long gone, millions are hitting the road
this summer in their RV's. Marty Hansen, known as Professor Marty,
couldn't be any happier about that since he recently released his
song and album entitled Me And My RV, co-written with Bill
Warrington. The song soon became the title cut once a niche
identified itself after enthusiastic response from RV owners.
The song was inspired by country living in Hansen's home of Garden
Valley, California and has captured the roaming spirit shared by a
market of eight million recreational vehicle owners and 3,500 RV
parks all over America.
Hansen began promoting his album this past spring with a "World Premier" in Albuquerque on April 17th. Soon after, America's Best Campground (voted #1
seven years in a row) in Branson, Missouri took 120 copies of the CD to
sell. Then a campground in Durango, Colorado took 30. Another in Ohio's
Amish Country took 30 and by the end of the month the album had its
first online sale from its website links to CD Baby and DigStation.
Since then, there have been an additional 19 RV Park counter display
placements, arrangements to use the song in an RV park commercial, and
an offer to represent the album in Australia and New Zealand.
Future plans include hitting the road with CDs in tow and
camp-side live performances at vehicle conventions and rallies that
draw thousands of participants. In addition, there are countless
RV-related websites, periodicals, blogs and forums to promote Hansen's
music as well as several RV manufacturers and related companies that
could incorporate his song/album in their own marketing efforts.
Cross-promotional opportunities could be just around the bend for
Professor Marty. For more info check out
